Fler \u00e4n 90 personer har blivit smittade med Salmonella efter att ha bes\u00f6kt en asiatisk restaurang i Palma de Mallorca.<\/p>\n

Av de drabbade \u00e4r 42 kvinnor och 49 m\u00e4n, sju barn under 14 \u00e5r has smittats, 27 personer \u00e4r mellan 15 och 20 \u00e5r, 46 mellan 21 och 40 \u00e5r och 11 \u00e4r \u00f6ver 41 \u00e5r gamla. Flera av de drabbade blev inlagda p\u00e5 Hospital Universitario Son Espases, men de har enligt nyhetsbyr\u00e5n EP redan blivit utskrivna.<\/p>\n

N\u00e5gra av de drabbade var lokalinnev\u00e5nare p\u00e5 \u00f6n men de flesta \u00e4r bes\u00f6kare fr\u00e5n hela Spanien. Detta f\u00f6ranledde lokalregeringen p\u00e5 Balearerna att underr\u00e4tta koordineringscentret f\u00f6r h\u00e4lsovarningar och n\u00f6dsituationer (CCAES). Det skall enligt uppgift inte finnas n\u00e5gon utl\u00e4ndsk turist bland de drabbade.<\/p>\n

De f\u00f6rsta fallen uppt\u00e4cktes i l\u00f6rdags, d\u00e5 10 personer fick behandlas p\u00e5 sjukhus och v\u00e5rdcentraler. P\u00e5 s\u00f6ndagen st\u00e4ngdes restaurangen efter att en inspektion hittat b\u00e5de strukturella och operativa brister.
\n Fakta om Salmonella<\/p>\n

Salmonella \u00e4r en magsjukdom som sprids via dryck och mat som har hanterats p\u00e5 ett felaktigt s\u00e4tt. De vanligaste symtomen vid en salmonellainfektion i tarmen \u00e4r diarr\u00e9 och feber. Inkubationstiden \u00e4r 6\u201372 timmar. Diarr\u00e9symtomen varar i 4\u201310 dagar. Ett symtomfritt b\u00e4rarskap upph\u00f6r vanligen inom 4\u20135 veckor, men hos tio procent av patienterna kan det p\u00e5g\u00e5 i 10\u201312 veckor och hos under en procent rentav \u00f6ver ett \u00e5r. H\u00e4lften av de nyf\u00f6dda som insjuknat i salmonella \u00e4r fortfarande b\u00e4rare efter flera m\u00e5nader.<\/p>\n
