Det skriver Diario SUR p\u00e5 torsdagen.<\/p>\n<p>Stadens kommunfullm\u00e4ktige har f\u00f6rsvarat beslutet att g\u00f6ra Torremolinos centrum bilfritt. Det \u00e4r ett projekt som tvingat tusentals bilister att varje dag hitta alternativa v\u00e4gar genom centrum.<\/p>\n<p>Kommunen studerar i nul\u00e4get situationen i centrum och hur de centrala delarna ska f\u00f6r\u00e4ndras i framtiden. Under sommaren har trafikintensiteten varit extra h\u00f6g. Den 13 augusti var det 35.575 bilar som passerade Torremolinos centrum. Trafiken uppges ha fungerat tillfredsst\u00e4llande under sommaren.<\/p>\n<p>Ett bilfritt centrum har varit m\u00e5let f\u00f6r den socialdemokratiskt ledda kommunen. Det anses som grundl\u00e4ggande till att f\u00e5 ig\u00e5ng ekonomi och f\u00e5 tillbaka turister i centrum.<\/p>\n<p>Andra stora planer i Torremolinos i framtiden \u00e4r en gigantisk n\u00f6jesanl\u00e4ggning vid kongresshallen som ska skapa 4.000 nya arbetstillf\u00e4llen.
