J\u00e4rnmalm transporterades fr\u00e5n gruvan Pe\u00f1oncillo \u00f6ver kustv\u00e4gen N-340 till st\u00f6rre fartyg som inte kunde g\u00e5 in i hamnen.<\/p>\n<p>Tornet byggdes f\u00f6r att underl\u00e4tta lastningen av j\u00e4rnmalm. Det \u00e5terst\u00e5ende Torre del Cable har blivit en av de fr\u00e4msta symbolerna i Marbella.<\/p>\n<p>Kabinbanesystemet bestod av flera torn.
