Anledningen \u00e4r de speciella havsv\u00e4xter och den samexistens mellan arter av nordafrikanskt ursprung som finns h\u00e4r.<\/p>\n<p>Omr\u00e5det har en mycket speciell havsfauna med framf\u00f6r allts\u00e5 tv\u00e5 olika slag av sj\u00f6gr\u00e4s eller oceaniska \u00e4ngar som dessutom drar till sig flera fiskarter.<\/p>\n<p>Liknande oceaniska \u00e4ngar finns vid Maro-Cerro Gordo (M\u00e1laga-Granada), Do\u00f1ana (Huelva-C\u00e1diz), el Estrecho (C\u00e1diz) och Cabo de Gata-N\u00edjar (Almer\u00eda).<\/p>\n<p>Totalt \u00e4r det 37.352 hektar omr\u00e5de till havs som utg\u00f6rs av nio omr\u00e5den utanf\u00f6r Andalusiens kust som ska skyddas.
