Det europeiska monumentet som har anknytning till T\u00e4by kommun invigdes 2002.<\/p>\n<p>Monumentet heter Europafont\u00e4nen (p\u00e5 spanska &#8221;Fuente de Europa&#8221;) och symboliserar det f\u00f6renade Europa med anledning av Spaniens intr\u00e4de i EU (Europeiska Unionen) \u00e5r 1986. Id\u00e9n var att sammanfoga ett stenblock fr\u00e5n varje EU-land (vid millennieskiftet hade EU 15 medlemsl\u00e4nder, numera 28 medlemsl\u00e4nder). Europafont\u00e4nens 16:e och sista stenblock kommer fr\u00e5n Nerja-grottan.<\/p>\n<p>Det var i november 2001 som T\u00e4by kommun via den svenska ambassaden i Madrid tillfr\u00e5gades om att st\u00f6dja projektet Europafont\u00e4nen genom att bidra med ett stenblock. Den svenska stenen best\u00e5r av r\u00f6dgr\u00e5 granit.<\/p>\n<p>Nu har Europafont\u00e4nen flyttat till plaza de Los Cangrejos vid sidan om stranden playa de La Torrecilla efter att ha varit i parken parque Verano Azul fr\u00e5n september 2002.<\/p>\n<p>I l\u00f6rdags firades Residentens dag f\u00f6r sextonde g\u00e5ngen i Nerja d\u00e4r en av fyra mantalsskrivna \u00e4r utl\u00e4nning, 4.884. Bland utl\u00e4nningar \u00e4r britter st\u00f6rst f\u00f6ljt av tyskar, svenskar och de fr\u00e5n Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>Samtidigt visar f\u00e4rsk statistik fr\u00e5n INE (Instituto Nacional de Estad\u00edstica) att Nerja f\u00f6rlorat 2.200 inv\u00e5nare, mestadels utl\u00e4nningar och i dagsl\u00e4get har 20.649 inv\u00e5nare.<\/p>\n<p>-En hel del svenskar, norrm\u00e4n och nyinflyttade till Nerja h\u00e4lsade p\u00e5.
