Spansk polis har idag gripit 42-\u00e5rige Antonio Ortiz som \u00e4r misst\u00e4nkt f\u00f6r att ha ofredat fem flickor plus att ha f\u00f6rs\u00f6kt ofreda ytterligare tre andra mellan 5 och 11 \u00e5r gamla i stadsdelen Ciudad Lineal i Madrid. Mannen greps i nordspanska Santander i morse.<\/p>\n

Antonio Ortiz har ett digert brottsregister och d\u00f6mdes till f\u00e4ngelse p\u00e5 90-talet efter att ha v\u00e5ldtagit ett barn p\u00e5 sex \u00e5r. Han har \u00e4ven en historia av kidnappningar, r\u00e5n, v\u00e5ld i hemmet och kopplingar till den organiserade brottsligheten enligt spanska medier. Mannen \u00e4r k\u00e4nd inom bodybuilding-kretsar och gillar att k\u00f6pa och s\u00e4lja bilar.<\/p>\n

Under flera m\u00e5nader har polisen arbetat f\u00f6r att f\u00e5nga den pedofil som har h\u00e4rjat i Madrid. Polisinsatsen beskrivs idag som mycket omfattande och som tidigare inte har f\u00f6rekommit i Spanien. Totalt har 40 poliser arbetat med fallet liksom beteendeanalytiker och FBI har varit r\u00e5dgivare.<\/p>\n

Spaniens inrikesminister Jorge Fern\u00e1ndez D\u00edaz beskriver mannen som ett \u201dsexuellt rovdjur\u201d. Och \u00e4ven om polisen kartl\u00e4gger andra misst\u00e4nkta personer beskriver inrikesministern den nu gripne som att \u201dhan inte har n\u00e5gra imitat\u00f6rer\u201d.<\/p>\n

F\u00f6r tio dagar sedan l\u00e4mnade Antonio Ortiz Madrid, troligtvis f\u00f6r att han k\u00e4nde att polisen var honom i h\u00e4larna. Mannen har en Citr\u00f6en Berlingo som flera vittnesm\u00e5l pekar ut i samband med fallen i Madrid.<\/p>\n
