De flesta bilisterna hann bromsa in och d\u00e4rmed undvika v\u00e5ldsamma kollisioner. Trots det har \u00e5tminstone 34 personer \u00e5dragit sig skador \u2013 en person uppges vara allvarligt skadad med skallskador. Ett stort antal personer har f\u00f6rts till olika sjukhus i Madridomr\u00e5det. Olyckan skedde p\u00e5 motorv\u00e4gen A-5 i Navalcarnero i utkanten av Madrid.
