F\u00f6rra veckan h\u00f6lls de senaste diskussionerna med EU under ett m\u00f6te i Bryssel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Denna vecka m\u00f6ttes representanter fr\u00e5n den brittiska regeringen och Gibraltars.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Storbritanniens utrikesminister David Cameron \u00e5terupprepade tidigare i veckan sitt \u00e5tagande att n\u00e5 en \u00f6verenskommelse med EU g\u00e4llande Gibraltar. Det skedde i samband med ett m\u00f6te mellan Cameron och Gibraltars chefsminister Fabian Picardo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Trots de komplicerade f\u00f6rhandlingarna \u00e4r Cameron \u201c\u00f6vertygad att ett f\u00f6rdrag som \u00e4r gynnsamt f\u00f6r alla i regionen kommer att uppn\u00e5s\u201d, enligt ett uttalande fr\u00e5n den brittiska regeringen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Detta var f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen som Cameron tr\u00e4ffade Picardo sedan han tilltr\u00e4dde som utrikesminister f\u00f6rra \u00e5ret. M\u00f6tet var en uppf\u00f6ljning av de senaste diskussionerna mellan EU och Storbritannien som h\u00f6lls f\u00f6rra veckan i Bryssel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGenom hela f\u00f6rhandlingen har Storbritannien, tillsammans med Gibraltar, presenterat f\u00f6rslag f\u00f6r att s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla regionens v\u00e4lst\u00e5nd och uppr\u00e4tth\u00e5lla balansen i det politiska ramverk som f\u00f6rhandlades fram med Spanien i december 2020\u201d, s\u00e4ger det brittiska utrikesdepartementet. De upprepade ocks\u00e5 sitt \u201corubbliga st\u00f6d f\u00f6r Gibraltar\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDen senaste utvecklingen i f\u00f6rhandlingar mellan britterna och EU diskuterades under m\u00f6tet och \u00e4ven vad som \u00e4r planen ifall ingen \u00f6verenskommelse kan n\u00e5s\u201d, kommenterade styret i Gibraltar.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00d6ven Gibraltars vice chefsminister Dr. Joseph Garcia och Storbritanniens europaminister Leo Docherty medverkade vid m\u00f6tet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Efter m\u00f6tet sa Picardo att han v\u00e4lkomnade det starka st\u00f6det f\u00f6r Gibraltar som han k\u00e4nde fr\u00e5n Cameron och Docherty. \u201cDe \u00e4r b\u00e5da goda v\u00e4nner till Gibraltar och v\u00e5rt m\u00f6te demonstrerade den goda relationen mellan oss och UK samt v\u00e5ra goda personliga relationer\u201d, kommenterade han.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

F\u00f6r Spaniens del f\u00f6rklarade utrikesminister Jose Manuel Albares att \u201cSpanien har presenterat ett globalt, balanserat och gener\u00f6st f\u00f6rslag om att skapa ett omr\u00e5de f\u00f6r delat v\u00e4lst\u00e5nd mellan Gibraltar och Campo de Gibraltar\u201d. Just nu v\u00e4ntar Spanien p\u00e5 ett svar fr\u00e5n britterna, h\u00e4vdar han.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
