P\u00e5 grund av ekonomiska strider mellan arrang\u00f6ren och kommunfullm\u00e4ktige kommer \u00e5rets upplaga av den popul\u00e4ra festivalen inte att bli av.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Det blir ingen Cala Mijas 2024. Arrang\u00f6ren Last Tour har meddelat att festivalen st\u00e4lls in och att kontrakten de haft med Mijas kommunfullm\u00e4ktige sedan 2021 s\u00e4gs upp.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anledningen som Last Tour anger \u00e4r \u201cflera \u00f6vertr\u00e4delser\u201d fr\u00e5n kommunens sida som framkommit n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller finansieringen av festivalen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bland annat har kommunen \u00e4nnu inte betalat flera viktiga summor f\u00f6r 2023 \u00e5rs upplaga av festivalen. En skuld som kan komma att \u00f6verstiga 2 miljoner euro.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dessutom finns sju obetalda fakturor som kommunen menar ska betalas av arrang\u00f6ren. Men ingen av parterna \u00e4r villiga att betala dem. Den totala kostnaden ligger p\u00e5 952 875 euro.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

N\u00e4r Last Tour uttalade sig i fredags n\u00e4mnde de ocks\u00e5 flera andra problem med samarbetet mellan dem och kommunen. Bland annat n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att tillhandah\u00e5lla olika faciliteter p\u00e5 festivalomr\u00e5det. De menar att kommunens agerande g\u00f6r det om\u00f6jligt att kunna forts\u00e4tta samarbetet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De s\u00e4ger att det uppkomna l\u00e4get visar \u201ckommunens bristande intresse f\u00f6r ett framg\u00e5ngsrikt arrangerande av festivalen\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kommunen avvisar detta uttalande och tackar allm\u00e4nheten f\u00f6r de tidigare \u201ctv\u00e5 magiska upplagorna\u201d av Cala Mijas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Festivalen var en stor satsning som lanserades av det tidigare PSOE-styret i Mijas. Last Tour vann budgivningen om arrang\u00f6rskapet f\u00f6r att ge nytt liv till kulturlivet efter pandemin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kommunen svarar<\/span><\/h2>\n

Kommunfullm\u00e4ktige menar i sin tur att det \u00e4r arrang\u00f6ren som brutit mot kontraktet. Bland annat skulle de ha presenterat \u00e5rets upplaga av artister i slutet av 2023, n\u00e5got som \u00e4nnu inte har gjorts. I avtalet, som \u00e4r skrivet p\u00e5 fem \u00e5r, st\u00e5r \u00e4ven att kommunen \u00e5tar sig att investera 6,3 miljoner euro under kontraktstiden. Last Tour skulle \u00e5 sin sida investera 8 miljoner euro det f\u00f6rsta \u00e5ret och summan skulle sedan \u00f6ka med en miljon f\u00f6r varje upplaga f\u00f6r att till slut n\u00e5 12 miljoner 2026. Enligt kommunen har arrang\u00f6ren inte \u00f6kat sin investering motsvarande detta under 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Festivalen skulle ha \u00e4gt rum mellan den 29 och 31 augusti. Flera biljetter har redan s\u00e5lts. Enligt k\u00e4llor inom arrang\u00f6ren som tidningen SUR har pratat med kommer alla som k\u00f6pt biljett f\u00e5 tillbaka hela beloppet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
