Torremolinos stadshus ska g\u00f6ra \u201callt i sin makt\u201d f\u00f6r att hindra \u00e4garna fr\u00e5n att bedriva verksamhet i staden.<\/strong><\/p>\n

En ny nattklubb i Torremolinos, som historiskt varit en viktig plats f\u00f6r LGBT-r\u00f6relsen i Spanien, publicerade nyligen sina intr\u00e4desregler p\u00e5 sociala medier. Bland annat stod det att \u201cmaricones\u201d (ett neds\u00e4ttande spanskt uttryck f\u00f6r homosexuella) inte var v\u00e4lkomna. Klubben, som planerar att \u00f6ppna den 18 januari p\u00e5 Calle Cruz, marknadsf\u00f6r sig i \u00f6vrigt som \u201clyxig\u201d och ”marockansk”.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Klubben, som heter Casa Fatina, har uppgett att man kommer att kasta ut alla som bryter mot de fastslagna reglerna. Som f\u00f6rutom den redan n\u00e4mnda homofobin inkluderar ett f\u00f6rbud mot, bland annat, droger och flip flops.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reaktionen fr\u00e5n stadens borgm\u00e4stare, Margarita del Cid, l\u00e4t inte v\u00e4nta p\u00e5 sig. Hon har sagt att stadshuset \u201cinte kommer att tolerera dessa typer av attityder\u201d och tillade att de kommer g\u00f6ra \u201callt i v\u00e5r makt f\u00f6r att stoppa all aktivitet fr\u00e5n en klubb som uppmuntrar till denna beklagliga inst\u00e4llning\u201d. Hon ska \u00e4ven ha skickat ett meddelande till de som ansvarar f\u00f6r lokalen d\u00e4r hon har f\u00f6rklarat att \u201cde enda som inte \u00e4r v\u00e4lkomna \u00e4r dem\u201d och att \u201chat och homofobi har ingen plats h\u00e4r\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Torremolinos har en historia som en tillflyktsplats f\u00f6r LGBT-personer. Under 1960-talet d\u00e5 Francos diktatur f\u00f6rbj\u00f6d homosexualitet var staden en plats d\u00e4r folk hade m\u00f6jlighet att leva ut sin livsstil och trotsa makten. P\u00e5 gatorna fanns flera restauranger, barer och nattklubbar d\u00e4r personer kunde vara \u00f6ppet homosexuella.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Det var dock inte helt tryggt. Under b\u00f6rjan p\u00e5 70-talet gjordes polisr\u00e4der i staden, p\u00e5 grund av det rykte som den f\u00e5tt, d\u00e4r flera personer greps och flera lokaler st\u00e4ngdes ner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Senare, n\u00e4r demokratin \u00e5terv\u00e4nde efter Francos d\u00f6d, f\u00f6rs\u00f6kte staden r\u00f6ra sig bort fr\u00e5n 60-talets bild. Den d\u00e5varande borgm\u00e4staren, Pedro Fernandez Montes, gjorde en rad negativa uttalanden om \u201chomo-turism\u201d.\u00a0<\/span>Under borgm\u00e4starna <\/span>Jos\u00e9 Ortiz (2015 – 2021) och Margarita del Cid (2021 – nu) har man b\u00f6rjat fr\u00e4mja denna del av Torremolinos historia och dess tydliga l\u00e4nk till LGBT-r\u00f6relsen. Hundratusentals personer bes\u00f6ker \u00e5rligen stadens Pridefestival och man har l\u00e4mnat in sin kandidatur f\u00f6r att ordna EuroPride 2027. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
