N\u00e4sta vecka g\u00e5r en av v\u00e4rldens b\u00e4sta American Roots-festivaler av stapeln i Torremolinos.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fler \u00e4n 30 artister kommer att framtr\u00e4da och ikonen Nick Lowe g\u00f6r sin enda spelning i Spanien f\u00f6r \u00e5ret.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Omkring 20 000 fans av retromusik v\u00e4ntas ta sig till Torremolinos n\u00e4sta vecka n\u00e4r Rockin\u2019 Race Jamboree firar sin 31a upplaga. Det \u00e4r en festival som p\u00e5g\u00e5r i fem dagar, mellan onsdag och s\u00f6ndag, d\u00e4r det spelas American Roots p\u00e5 flera olika platser runt om i staden. Det blir rockabilly, blues, surf, rock \u2018n\u2019 roll och boogie-woogie.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spelningarna h\u00e5lls p\u00e5 auditoriet Pr\u00edncipe de Asturias, Hotel Barracuda, Plaza del Remo och p\u00e5 utvalda barer. En del spelningar beh\u00f6ver man biljett till och de s\u00e5lde slut redan i oktober f\u00f6rra \u00e5ret. Men de konserter som h\u00e5lls p\u00e5 Plaza del Remo och i barerna JC\u2019s Bar, The Fat Fajita och Cerveceria Twister \u00e4r gratis och \u00f6ppna f\u00f6r alla. Dessutom kommer det \u00e5terigen finnas ett dansgolv f\u00f6r plats med runt 800 personer utanf\u00f6r auditoriet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rockin\u2019 Race Jamboree \u00e4r den mest framst\u00e5ende festivalen f\u00f6r American Roots i Europa och har vunnit pris som v\u00e4rldens b\u00e4sta i sitt slag. Den kommer att bjuda p\u00e5 fler \u00e4n 30 liveframtr\u00e4danden av n\u00e5gra av genrens st\u00f6rsta namn. Musikentusiaster fr\u00e5n hela kontinenten bes\u00f6ker Torremolinos, m\u00e5nga av dem kl\u00e4r upp sig i klassisk 50-talsstil. F\u00f6r att locka s\u00e5 m\u00e5nga som m\u00f6jligt h\u00e5lls festivalen i februari, en tid p\u00e5 \u00e5ret d\u00e5 flyg och hotell \u00e4r billigare.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

P\u00e5 l\u00f6rdagen kan man \u00e4ven bes\u00f6ka en utst\u00e4llning av klassiska bilar och motorcyklar som finns p\u00e5 Plaza del Remo mellan 11.00 och 16.00.<\/span><\/p>\n

I \u00e5rets utbud av artister hittar vi bland annat Nick Lowe and the Straitjackets som g\u00f6r sin enda spelning p\u00e5 spansk mark f\u00f6r \u00e5ret.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dessutom hittar vi artister som Lee Rocker fr\u00e5n The Stray Cats som hade flera hits under 80-talet som Stray Cat Strut, Rock this Town och Runaway Boys. Hillbilly Moon Explosion, ett schweiziskt band som spelar en fusion av blues, swing, country och surf. The Cactus Blossoms, en alternativ country och folkmusikgrupp fr\u00e5n Minneapolis. Den Chicagobaserade duon Joel Paterson och Annie Dolan som spelar country och western swing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
