Turistprofilen och tidigare hotelldirekt\u00f6ren Paco Rubio har avlidit vid 74 \u00e5rs \u00e5lder.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paco Rubio var en av de f\u00f6rsta pionj\u00e4rerna och medlemmarna i CIT (Centro de Iniciativas Tur\u00edsticas) i Almu\u00f1\u00e9car som 1983 blev turistmyndigheten Patronato Municipal de Turismo.<\/p>\n

Paco Rubio kom till Almu\u00f1\u00e9car 1976 och blev k\u00e4r i platsen vid f\u00f6rsta \u00f6gonkastet n\u00e5got som smittade av sig p\u00e5 andra.<\/p>\n

Rubio blev senare direkt\u00f6r p\u00e5 legendariska Chinasol vid stranden San Crist\u00f3bal.<\/p>\n

Under 1980-talet var han \u00e4ven del\u00e4gare i l\u00e4genhetshotellet Las G\u00f3ndolas som han utvecklade. P\u00e5 1990-talet \u00e5terv\u00e4nde han till Chinasol och som egenf\u00f6retagare ut\u00f6kade han med hyresl\u00e4genheter, restaurang, cafeteria och festsal.<\/p>\n

Turistmyndigheterna i Almu\u00f1\u00e9car s\u00e4ger att Paco Rubio bidrog starkt till turistutvecklingen i kommunen under fem decennier. Han var en av de stora f\u00f6respr\u00e5karna f\u00f6r modern turism p\u00e5 Costa Tropical.<\/p>\n

Rafael Lamelas, hotelldirekt\u00f6r vid Hotell Helios fram till pensioneringen 2016, minns Rubio som en n\u00e4ra v\u00e4n i branschen under n\u00e4ra 30 \u00e5r.<\/p>\n

– Han var mycket optimistisk, humoristisk och dynamisk och betydde mycket f\u00f6r turismen i Almu\u00f1\u00e9car.<\/p>\n

N\u00e4r Paco Rubio tidigare blev intervjuad i dagstidningen Ideal<\/a> ber\u00e4ttade han hur han k\u00f6rde till bland annat Sverige f\u00f6r att s\u00e4lja in sina objekt.<\/p>\n

Han gjorde det med en stor portion humor d\u00e5 han visste att marken skulle s\u00e4lja sig sj\u00e4lv. F\u00f6rutom att ta med reklammaterial p\u00e5 resan packade han bilen full med avokado och cherimoyas.<\/p>\n
