M\u00e1laga blir utan fotbolls-VM 2030. Det stod klart tidigare i \u00e5r. Nu \u00e4r den stora fr\u00e5gan om det blir en ny fotbollsstadion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La Rosaleda som hade gruppspelsmatcher n\u00e4r Spanien arrangerade VM senast 1982 beskrivs som omodern och i minsta laget.<\/strong><\/p>\n

M\u00e1lagas borgm\u00e4stare Fransisco de la Torre medverkade nyligen vid en paneldiskussion arrangerad av Diario Sur i samarbete med stiftelsen Fundaci\u00f3n Cajasol. Borgm\u00e4staren blev intervjuad av tidningens chefredakt\u00f6r Manolo Castillo.<\/p>\n

En av fr\u00e5gorna som kom upp g\u00e4llde om M\u00e1laga f\u00e5r en nybyggd fotbollsstadion.<\/p>\n

Senast 2030 b\u00f6r den vara p\u00e5 g\u00e5ng, sa Paco de la Torre som \u00e4ven kommenterade beslutet att dra sig ur arrang\u00f6rskapet f\u00f6r matcher i VM-slutspelet 2030.<\/p>\n

– Det fanns en risk att vi inte skulle hinna i tid. Det hade varit fruktansv\u00e4rt.<\/p>\n

Dessutom skulle M\u00e1laga bli h\u00e4nvisade till friidrottsstadion under tiden n\u00e4r La Rosaleda byggdes ut f\u00f6r att ta 45\u00a0000 \u00e5sk\u00e5dare.<\/p>\n

– Vi skulle inte f\u00e5 n\u00e5got ekonomiskt st\u00f6d f\u00f6r att bygga upp extra l\u00e4ktare p\u00e5 friidrottsstadion. Det betyder att M\u00e1laga som lag skulle halvera sin publikkapacitet vilket skulle g\u00e5 ut \u00f6ver ekonomi och sportsliga resultat samtidigt som det skulle inneb\u00e4ra stora trafikproblem p\u00e5 M-20.<\/p>\n

M\u00e5let \u00e4r att den nya stadion byggs i Puerto de la Torre i norra delen av M\u00e1laga vilket g\u00f6r att La Rosaleda blir kvar tills den \u00e4r f\u00e4rdigbyggd.<\/p>\n

Ang\u00e5ende M\u00e1lagas position p\u00e5 den internationella scenen noterar borgm\u00e4staren att man \u00e4r en kandidatstad f\u00f6r den europeiska tullmyndigheten, som beslutas av EU.<\/p>\n

Det handlar inte nu om p\u00e5tryckningar fr\u00e5n andra l\u00e4nder som fallet var med Expo d\u00e4r Serbien fick st\u00f6d av Ryssland och Kina.<\/p>\n

Den kanske st\u00f6rsta fr\u00e5gan \u00e4r om Paco de la Torre t\u00e4nker st\u00e4lla upp f\u00f6r \u00e4nnu en mandatperiod vid n\u00e4sta kommunalval 2027. Han fyller 83 \u00e5r den 21 december 2025.<\/p>\n

– Om jag \u00e4r villig f\u00f6r \u00e4nnu en mandatperiod blir det sv\u00e5rare f\u00f6r mig att vara mandatperioden ut.<\/p>\n

De la Torre har antytt att hans eftertr\u00e4dare borde finnas p\u00e5 plats nummer 2 p\u00e5 listan. Carolina Espa\u00f1a pekas ut som hans eftertr\u00e4dare \u00e4ven om hon sj\u00e4lv nyligen f\u00f6rnekade detta i en intervju i Diario Sur.<\/p>\n
