Det beskrivs som en l\u00e5ng kamp men till sist lyckades sportfiskaren fr\u00e5n Valladolid landa den 120 kilo tunga j\u00e4ttemalen som m\u00e4tte 2,67 meter. Det \u00e4r den st\u00f6rsta malen som f\u00e5ngats i Spanien n\u00e5gonsin p\u00e5 konstgjort bete.
\n I \u00f6ver 24 \u00e5r har den passionerade sportfiskaren Sergio Rodr\u00edguez f\u00f6rs\u00f6kt f\u00e5nga stora malar i de djupare delarna av Ebrofloden. I f\u00f6rra veckan blev det napp p\u00e5 kastsp\u00f6 med konstgjort bete n\u00e4ra byn Escrat\u00f3n inte l\u00e5ngt fr\u00e5n Zaragoza.<\/p>\n

Vid ett annat tillf\u00e4lle f\u00e5ngades en mal som m\u00e4tte 2,72 meter, men den malen f\u00e5ngades inte p\u00e5 konstgjort bete. <\/p>\n

Malen kan fiskas \u00e5ret om men den idealiska tiden f\u00f6r att hitta de b\u00e4sta exemplaren \u00e4r under mars och april.<\/p>\n

Spanien \u00e4r k\u00e4nt f\u00f6r sina stora exemplar av mal. F\u00f6rutom Ebrofloden finns fisken \u00e4ven i floderna J\u00facar och Tajo. De h\u00e4rstammar fr\u00e5n Donau och blev inplanterade i vattenreservoaren Mequinenza p\u00e5 1970-talet varifr\u00e5n de f\u00f6r\u00f6kat sig.<\/p>\n

Malen kan bli 60 \u00e5r gammal och bli enormt stor.<\/p>\n
